Home Staging 101! Tip of the Day...

                                                                                    Home Staging 101

Do a mini home inspection of your own! Check for burnt out light bulbs, drippy faucets, cracked caulking, overgrown bushes, etc. Little things make a big difference! How does a buyer know the difference between a fixture being broken or the light bulb being burnt out? ANSWER: They don't! Fix it so they won't wonder!

Speaking of burnt out bulbs. I was in a home today that I at first thought the electric was turned off. It seemed that only 1 in 5 bulbs were good. How annoying!!

LOL- I also have gone into a home for a showing and there has been a beautiful light fixture in the bathroom- went to turn the lights on and only one bulb was on. Why? Because the other 4 were missing from the fixture- how tacky!

LOL! Isn't it crazy that light bulbs get overlooked like that! They are SO cheap too but boy it can be expensive to not replace them if the buyer is turned off..

Great advice Melissa. It's an example of little things going a long way.

It really makes such a huge difference. Once I forgot to change a bulb and I have to tell you that people noticed it in my pics. That was the only thing they noticed at first...change the bulbs was my lesson to be learned.
