seedsThat is the theme this year’s 3rd Annual Pennsylvania renewable energy & sustainable living festival in Kempton, PA.

Since the weather was supposed to be beautiful all weekend here in the Lehigh Valley, a friend if mine suggested that would be a great excuse to be outdoors and enjoy the fresh air with Taliesen.  Along with that, we can learn how to be a little more green.

Throughout the day, there are different workshops discussing energy topics such as solar power, solair power, recycling and building green.

We also got to see some transportation alternatives.  Besides the Toyota Hybrid car that you can buy a chance to win, there were several converted cars.  Some run electric, some run on vegetable oil.  Taliesen was especially interested in the solar powered tractor.

With plenty of food (served on biodegradable plates), activities for children, live entertainment, and information, it was worth the trip to Kempton this weekend.

Ann it has been a long time since I have gone to anything like that, but I think it would be interesting to see the new developments in this area.  I will have to check out if we have something like this around here.

Hi Ann:  I would really like it if something like this happened in the Fort Worth area.  I think I would really going to a festival like this.  I'm from Cleveland, and unfortunately it seems to me that an event like this would be more likely to happen up north... sad to say.  Thanks for sharing...
