My Active Rain Success Story!

Ok, now this just thrilled me to death!  As some of you know, I periodically post one of my favorite recipes and meals I've prepared.  This is really just for fun and didn't expect these results.

So last night for grins and giggles I decided to do a random Google search.  I typed in "Medford, Oregon Fish n Chips" into the Google search bar.  What did I expect to get?...Well area restaurants of course!  I had NO idea my foodie post entitled "Fish N Chips, with an Oregon Twist" would show up.  While I do generally make these posts public, I don't fill them with key phrases or SEO's, so again, imagine my surprise!

Told dear hubby...."Heck, I don't care HOW somebody found me....as long as they found me!!"   Wouldn't that be cool if I got a loan lead from someone looking for dining spots in Medford?  LOL

Karen, I think it is awesome. It doesn't matter where you are found, if you get a lead from this, it is a success story. Keep on posting those awesome recipes. I am big into recipes. I watch the Food Network channel everyday to see Giada and Buys Big Bite and Chef Amerrel (I believe that's her name). Anyway, every week my menu is planned around which recipe I saw and like.

Have a great recipe week.

Thanks, Andrea!  So what exactly IS a "Hyper local" post?  I did reference "Central Point", the town that I live in, which is outside of Medford in my post.....was it that Central Point reference that Google recognized when I searched "Medford Oreon Fish n Chips?"

This is all greek to me!  lol

That's amazing.  I've read articles about agents being found from articles written about many things but never a recipe.  Good job!

Karen you'll be getting calls on these post!  I write a lot of localism and which is fun for me and gets me out and about more often.  Be prepared - the calls will start and some days you'll be caught off guard.  It's like ' what?  Who are you trying to reach.....and then I remember....oh yes I wrote a blog on that last year!!

Thank you Anna for the encouragement!  I haven't posted anything in the "localism" channel...guess I better start educating myself on that benefit.

Best~

Awesome stuff!  Just joined your foodie group.  Once I get over this dang cold and can get back in the 'Rain I'll have to post for it.

Been wondering how your gluten-free lactose-free dinner went.  Let us know!

That's great, Tara!  I'll have to go look over there for you.  I'll post something over with regard to the gluten free/dairy free dinner.  No one got sick...it's a good thing!  :-)
