Should you be getting back to listing Real Estate in 2011?

Certainly, we have had three years or so of short sells, REO's, discounted houses and all the rest. At the best, we have had a different market and in some cases a down right bad market in many areas. As a traditional real estate agent, I never liked the market that has existed the last few years, but I learned to co-exist with it.

Are we out of the woods and back to the good old days? Just from observation the answer is of course not. I've heard the story that there are still a million foreclosures to be dropped on the market. I don't know if it's true or not, but it sure sounds scary.

Last year, 2010, I had decent a year despite all the discounted property. True, I sold some of it, but I also sold some homes that were listed the old fashioned way. I really believe that in 2011 a hard working, focused listing agent can make money. I know being detailed is more important than ever, that includes from the beginning of the listing to the sale. I must convince my seller to price their property according to market conditions. . It also means each listing must be presented -- staged in the best possible manner.

Every aspect of what we know as professional real estate agents about marketing needs to be employed. I'm going to do my best to do this, and yes -- I am going back to listing!!

I believe Realtors need listings in order to succeed this is where a lot of buyers are generated. So I'm with you I'm listing whenever possible.
