Now that I have your attention...wouldn't you be excited to hear this? How about a $1,000 gift card to your favorite grocery? Or a $1,000 shopping spree at the mall? I'd be tickled pink!
So tell me why some agents snub their nose at a prospect if they don't think the commission will meet their perceived worth? If I make $1,000 or even $500 commission I can be sure of one thing....it's more money than I had yesterday!!!
My office is in Sandusky, OH on the shores of Lake Erie. Located in Erie County, home to about 80.000 people, we are predominantly rural. Therefore the agents in our local board. of roughly 500 members, tend to work multiple counties, because.....Honey, there just isn't enough business to go around! To be truthful, most of us work 5 counties, Erie, Huron, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Lorain Counties. Believe me when I tell you; I put a lot of miles on my car. So I am truly dumbfounded when I try to refer a CASH buyer looking in the $100,000 range to an agent in a larger Ohio city and I'm told that unless the buyer is looking to buy at $250,000 or higher, they are not interested. Why? Because the community the buyer is looking to buy is a 20-25 min. drive for that agent. Are you serious?! I know 100's of people that spend more time than that getting to work each day. I tried other agents, but they weren't responsive, or tried to show the buyer houses that didn't even come close to meeting their criteria, etc. So now I'm driving over 2 hours to accommodate a buyer. Make that 6 counties I work in!!!!
CASH buyer, folks! I'd never turn down a CASH buyer. And I'd bust my butt to find the right home and make a quick sale.
A sale, is a sale, is a sale. Buyers are not a dime a dozen these days. It's not all about the commission, people. One good deed often brings about another. Represent your people well and good things will come to you.
