12 Comments on Northern Virginia Buyers-Multiple Offers Are Real In All Price Ranges
Cindy... I think this statement of yours says it all.. {"What does that mean for a buyer? As the agent who called me this morning said "he who hesitates may lose out." Now this doesn't mean throw caution to the wind and do something foolish. However it does mean if you see a home that is what you are looking for you need to be ready to make a decision."} Overall, good luck with this house, but it sounds like it will be gone very soon.
This is a good reminder that perception is not always reality, especially in real estate. Some areas of the country are doing quite well, glad to hear yours is one of them Cindy. Like Jeff, I suspect this home will be sold quickly...best wishes.
Get off the fence!!! I can't say it loud enough, and hey if they want to make a foolish impulse buy...I'm there only kidding, only kidding
I'm finding more multiple offer situations in the single family home market, where last Spring we didn't have that. And the townhouses in our County are still in demand, so in general, this is a great time for a Seller to sell. Hard for a hesitant buyer to buy, though.
Cindy,
Working with the buyer right now who just learned that the hard way. Decent houses are moving quickly, market is changed.

Jeff-it is under contract! Still had a couple of calls today from agents who had printed out the MLS sheet prior to last night. Snooze...gone!
Anita-we see multiple offers on a number of properties. I've been on builders sites this week and inventory is moving in new construction as well.
Gerry-I don't think we see to much impulse buying but it also isn't the time to spend weeks thinking a home may still be there.
Chris Ann-we do see a lot of inventory moving. And the homes I've toured that aren't...there is a reason they aren't garnering offers.
Rich-with low interest rates and low prices buyers who have been on the fence over the winter are starting to make their moves.
Isn't it wonderful to be getting multiple offers again> We are seeing that down here in Florida as well!
Barbara Jo-my last two listings have both had 4 or more offers.
