Painting Angelina Jolie...

She's a mommy now, so am I, so no nude paintings ever again (although ever is not quite the same as saying never - LOL. Psst... I can be bribed with Hagen Daz).

I used to do them all the time but hubby told me when we got married that I couldn't paint nude male models anymore. Being an equal opportunity kind of artist I decided I wouldn't do the ladies either. However, I will admit that there are times I actually miss that part of my old routine. A lot (LOL). My new routine is cool and a lot of fun so I'm not complaining much. I haven't done a full nude since 1995. I guess the people who collect me who actually still have that category of painting are going to now see something kinda significant about that artistic fact. Picasso's blue period. Tann Starr's nude period (LOL). ;-)

Richard, I still have several gorgeous friends from high school and college who are more quirky than I am and made the modeling sessions mad funny while I worked. A couple of them still make me seem quite bland when they get going on a good day (and I have a mouth on me so that's a significant statement - LOL). Especially the BDSM models - OMG - they're hilarious!!! Ever been to a play area and see them strike a pose? They have a scenario and code for just about everything and used to joke that Jesus still loved them as long as they didn't kill anybody. My job was to sketch, paint, take the bloody pictures and not poke too much fun at them in public after we were done (that's all I'm gonna say about them - LOL).

BTW, I have a portrait of you going on too that I never finished. I need to do that before my next run down south. Hubby specifically told me to bring more clothes for the wee people with his favorite painting. I decided I needed to have a favorite painting hanging down there as well so I'm painting Angelina because I adore her. ;-)

LOL @ Claude. Cheers indeed. ;-) Use Finale 2011. You can assign notes to the staff and drag and drop them to fix what you are playing. You can assign instruments and play back what you write. Composing is mad fun when you use computers and a keyboard. When I play on the fly the programs records and writes what ever I do. Check it out. It's awesome! I use it with the kids at home and in the studio.

Claude, I love hanging out with people who have so many different interests and talents. You can learn a lot and find out really neat ways to get what you want done. My kids are very visual so I'm always looking for tools to help them interface and get instant gratification for their efforts. I'm glad you liked the site because it was a God send for me when I realized I could just create and not worry about being perfect. Being able to edit the notes on the fly and drag and drop additional notes into play is mad fun. Finale is one of the best programs to help musicians improve their craft and compose just about anything you can imagine. :-)
