30 Comments on Friday Fotos - Delightful Daylilies
Chris that is a very nice place up there, and it flows with people and colors in the spring. Thanks for the colors.
Chris,
The day lilies are so bright and beautiful! And I love that blue butterfly - that was a bonus! Your wife had a great idea! I hope you go there more often because it looks like a very special and peaceful place to visit.
Great shots, Chris. I'm also thinking about the flowers of spring and summer. Have a special weekend!
June in Kentlands. Life is good in Montgomery County, Maryland!
Chris, it is clear you are a person who will find "spring" in anything you do regardless of what mother nature has in mind. Your wonder images of daylilies prompted me to add flowers to my market list!
Hi Patricia - I am going to watch the progress of every flower as it blooms in my yard this year!
Hi Sue - The wind is blowing a gale right now--has been all day. Sounds like March will be coming in like a lion!
Hi Doug - Anyone hoping to lengthen this winter had better stay away from the Northeast!
Hi Tony and Darcy - Thanks. Two thumbs up for Spring!
Hi Toni - It was a welcome teaser! All the ice has finally melted off my gutters!
Hi Andrea - I feel for you!! The wind last night slammed our house so hard that I thought a tree came down! However, unless the tree blew away, I can't find any evidence (or damage--knock wood).
Hi Ed - White Flower Farm is a VERY special place!
Hi Patricia - We try to get to White Flower Farm quite often (even though it is not too close to where we live). We used to take my mother-in-law every late July before she passed away--she loved it SO much!
Hi Roy--Another great Roy Kelley shot! Thanks for adding it to the post!
Hi Emily - You have to try to find a bright side in everything. As I sit here writing now, I am having trouble finding a bright spot listening to the howling wind that has been going strong for 24 hours. Perhaps I should be glad that it isn't snowing too? : )
Beautiful photos, Chris. My wife loves daylilies, too. We have a bunch of deep-purple daylilies planted around our yard. Just gorgeous when they bloom.
Hi Bill - My wife loves daylilies so much that she wants to get some of the "new" kind that bloom all summer long. The only problem is, we don't have any more garden space!
So Chris, when the wind is howling, you can just retreat into your photos of daylilies and summer! Great idea :) Yes, Spring will come.
Chris,
The daylilies are lovely... so bright and beautiful!! Thanks for sharing them.
Hi Frank and Sharon - We have to find some retreat. The wind has died down; now there is a winter storm heading our way . .
Hi Linda - Thanks! I can't wait until they pop up in my yard!
Chris - lovely well captured pictures of daylilies and the butterfly.
Hi Petra - Thanks very much!
Chris: I love daylilies, they are my favorite and so easy to grow here in Southern California!
Hi Jane - Daylilies are easy to grow in Connecticut too--we just don't get to enjoy them all year long like you do!
Nice photos Chris. By the way, did you know that the top bar on your page isn't showing up. I'm not sure what it's called or how to change it. Was that on purpose? Usually we can see our "my home" on other AR blog pages, but I couldn't see it on yours.
Hi Brenda - Yes, I know it. When you work your way back to Better Blogging #1 and sign up for the webinars, you will find out why. : ) It's a little tip that Steven Graham shares. The "home" is still there, you just can't see it.
