Look Who Came For a Baltimore Visit...But I Scared 'Em Away!

I had just gotten home from a full day of showings and TLH said look out back. There was family of deer in my back yard.

Yes, I have seen deer before but not so close to the house.

With  camera ready, I started taking photos but could not get them clear through the screen and glass. No problem,  shhhhh...I can quietly open the sliders and the screen and have a perfect photo opportunity. So ever so slowly the latch was moved and the slider was gently nudged and then....

That LOUD NOISE...the darn security system was set and went blasting off!

So long photo shoot. Hope you enjoy the few I was able to get.

There was a buck, a doe and a baby that came to visit...but I scared them away!

Margaret, we do have these visitors in my backyard very often. Not sure if they really feel cold or not, but i do see their footmarks in my snow-covered backyard - a new set every couple of days. I should be camera ready, I guess...

My last house was overrun by deer.  Now this house has more rabbits than you can shake a stick at.  And shaking a stick does NOT scare them away!

Something rarely seen here in Charlotte, Margaret but, when we do, we "ooo and ahh" over them and can NEVER get a photo of them!!  They're way too fast for me! Good job capturing the 'deer' moment!!

Have a great week...

Charles, They are still a sight to see and in my yard.

Praful, Always have a camera ready. But I should have had the security system OFF!

Richard, The rabbits will be fun at easter..take some photos.

Debe, Still exciting see them and even more so shooting them with a camera.

Spooky eyeballs. I used to have deer in my back yard when I lived in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. They would trip the motion sensor lights. Like at 3 AM and wake me up. Oh, well, it's a good reminder of who was there first, and it wasn't humans.

Elizabeth, It's the camera that makes eyeballs spooky. I could have gotten such good photos without the alarm!
