The Start of a New Week

Getting a late start on a new habit for the year, I finally made it to the gym this morning!

My plans are to get up at 5:00 am every day this week & get my cardio on!

I know I will have more energy & feel better after exercising!

I’m looking forward to being in better shape & being more energized!

Don - You will definintely have more energy doing this. Once you make it a habit, you won't be able to stop.  It will feel like something's missing if you don't.

It's never too late to start getting in shape. Every morning, without fail. You'll love it.

I have a gym membership that has been sitting idly since the beginning of the year.  Hope to get back in the swing, good luck on your new habit.

UGH - five AM?  Sorry, but I like to finish up my day working out. I know that some people say it keeps them awake - not me, I have no problem sleeping.

Rock on! I make a point of getting to the gym 5 days a week -- it keeps me only 25 pounds overweight, instead of the 50 pounds over I would be otherwise!

Good for you!!!  I have that as my plan!  I used to be really good at going...worked with a trainer last year twice a week and went to the Nampa Rec Center regularly....but then with having surgery in December those plans went down the drain.   Doc has released me so I have no excuse....hoping to get down there soon!!!   I prefer working out in the morning as well!  Just no time later in the day for me!

For many years I went to Bally’s and 24 Hour Fitness Center. That was when they were actually open 24 hours a day, including weekends. Then they cut their hours back, opening at 6:00 a.m. Unfortunately, that’s boom time at the gyms here and it was just not worth the hassle anymore. So I take my handy dandy Canon 550D and set out on a nice walk or a bike ride and get some good exercise in as well as some good blogging pictures. During the summer months, I’ll also go swimming, which makes me feel the best.

Don,

Good for you for sticking to your plan.

My trainer comes to my office, drags me outside to the parking lot and works me out!  Seriously!  If he didn't show up, I wouldn't either !

Christine, that's what I thought last time I started. It's too easy to get out of the habit.

Glenn, I have loved it in the past & simply got out of the habit. 2 days down & I am going to keep it up!

Christopher, you gotta just do it! I finally quit making excuses & just got up!

Juli, for me, I just like to get up, work out & shower once for the day. Doing it at night means more time to shower again...

JA, good point! I hear that 70% of weight issues are directly related to what we eat. makes sense.

Tim, tanks for the encouragement!

Ted, the stamina is just to come!

Robert, I might just do that. 2 days so far & I am committed at least for the week! I hope that will gear me up for another and another!

Charles, we could hold each other accountable...

Deb, good luck getting up early! That was my toughest thing. You know how late I work.

Russel, I hear swimming is one of the best exercises one can do!

Sheila, wow... That is commitment- working out in the parking lot!

Ann, so far so good! 5 days of consistency so far! I'm a little tired, but I just need to get to bed a little earlier.

Doug, thanks for stopping by. I am feeling better, for sure!
