Vacancies run short; Longmont rental availabilities lowest in six years The
Daily Times-Call reports that Longmont is experiencing the tightest rental market in six years, partly driven by the high rate of foreclosures. The vacancy rate was 3.9 percent in the second quarter, according to the Colorado Division of Housing. In the north metro area, only sections of Boulder, unincorporated Boulder County and the Commerce City/Brighton areas have a lower vacancy rate. The survey doesn't track single-family homes that are for rent by area, although the vacancy rate for houses in the metro area was 4.8 percent for the second quarter, according to the Division of Housing's report released Thursday.
