Tonight I am without power at home from an ice storm that hit Southwest Michigan last night. I am currently working out of my Real Estate brokerage office, as opposed to my home office due to the outage.
I have lived in Michigan 10 years+ now, and consider it fortunate that this is the first time that I have been without power in the winter months. My wife and I are managing without heat in frigid temperatures, and keeping the water dripping in faucets and a fire in the fireplace. It is amazing how aware you become on our dependency on electricity in these times. Our household, along with 9500 other houses in Calhoun County are without power currently.
Anyhow, I took some time this morning to take some photos of the beauty of nature, despite the forecast of no return to power until Thursday that I hear on the radio. I hope you enjoy these.
