Sex Sells...Even if You Have to Give it Away!

It was over a year ago. I did it with eleven other women, the ladies of the lake.  We had fun. No regrets.

Let me explain.

It was Kathy's idea. Just a smidgen of sex; bare shoulder here, a little cleavage there. It didn't hurt anyone, we all knew exactly what we were getting into.

We had pseudonyms. I was Miss Take it to the Bank.

Do I have your attention yet?

We gave it away. We even made money for others, like The Birkenfeld Store and a couple of shops in Vernonia.  I gave it to my clients for a whole year. And they loved it. So did I.

It created quite the buzz.

I was August and I signed up for this because it was a creative way to "sell" my business and EVERYONE can use a calendar, especially if it's free!!

Kathy Streib I've probably relied on this tried-and-true post more than any other I've written. Funny to go back and see how "free" I was about writing style, etc. And I agree, many of these folks are MIA and it's too bad. I miss 'em.

Kat Palmiotti it was a takeoff on the movie Calendar Girls. Although, have to say, that the men around Fishhawk Lake got wind of us doing this and they proceeded to do theirs in secret before us and handed them out at a Christmas party what a surprise!

You are a very beautiful woman.  But I personally would be uncomfortable using you as my agent after seeing that picture.  I'll just be honest.  Just too many thoughts running through my head which would make it difficult to concentrate on looking at homes.  Not that I've ever cheated but why make my life difficult.

Remember, men have one thing running through their heads all through the day.  Men are pigs.  It's just what they are. 

I hope it worked well for you.  Just be careful.

Tim Maitski as with the original movie that our idea was based on, it was to create something completely different. While I appreciate your honesty, this was something that we, in our small community had fun with. That was IT. It wasn't sent out to the general public. This was many years ago, too. 

And frankly, men and even kids can find more provocative photos than this on FB or in People Magazine. By the way, my husband was in the same calendar that the guys did the year before as a surprise to we women in the community!! Turnabout's fair play.

Sharon Tara this was so long ago that I'm pretty sure you didn't! I would be too lazy, too. Thanks for popping by and giving me positive feedback. This was the only photo that my retired Phys. Ed teacher took for the calendar (she was in charge), so I got lucky!

Ah that explains it. I missed that. Apparently I was still subscribed to the post from years ago that is how I noticed the new influx. 17 days til my new life.  I begin the new adventure on 12/29. One day shy of my move here to this apt last year.  A year of transition.
