Each week I look through the listings available and try to find the best real estate buys in Meridian, Idaho. This week only netted five options but all five are remarkable deals in a market filled with short sales and foreclosures.
Meridian was first called that name when the Odd Fellow's named their lodge in recognition of Idaho’s principle surveyor’s meridian, which runs along Meridian Road as it passes through town.
Meridian has a new city hall and just inside the front doors and to the left is the Historical Society's treasures that anyone can come by and learn the history of this city which began as a town of 200 just a hundred or so years ago.
The Dairy Day celebrations each each come from the fact that the heritage of this area were its large dairy farms and the milk and other product brought to market from Meridian.
This is no longer a small, quiet suburb of Boise. It has a life of its own and a very capable leader in Mayor Tammy de Weerd.
Come and see and you will probably stay!
