Bonita Springs GolfToday while driving down Bonita Beach Road I nearly passed Safari Golf before I swooped in for a picture.  Oh, the memories...

How many birthday parties and family nights have Bonitians spent here?  I know my family has nearly worn out the course.

The last party we had at Safari Golf (when I was on the verge of being on the outside looking in at teenager-dom) was a birthday party. I guess the kids were about 13 or 14.  They were embarassed by my plan...at first.

We loaded up all the kids from the party and hit the course at Safari Golf.  One rule and one rule only:  The penalty for every swing a putter takes with the ball does not go into the hole is one balloon.  One balloon blown up and safety pinned to their clothes.  Within a matter off minutes they all looked like the Fruit-of-the-Loom grape guy.  They all had a blast.  It was alot of fun to watch, too.

If you're in the area and you're looking for an affordable, good time, stop in at Safari Golf on Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs, Florida and play a round.  BYOB (Bring your own balloons).

Enjoy the photos, slightly overcast, but Bonita Springs is still pretty none the less.

OMG!! I was wondering where my husband had escaped to!

I'd like to have seen everyone with balloons pinned all over themselves! I wish I had thought of that before. Now my daughter is 17. I could still do it, but it wouldn't embarrass her anymore. It's much more fun when they consider it torture =P

LOL...Queen of Localism.  I hope your insurance agent has a plan that covered the therapy that your kids had to go through...still.

That is hilarious. I will have to try that with my children.... I have to ask were any of them real small? were theses helium balloons? and I guess the only other applicable question is do kids float away when you pin enough balloons to them?

09/25/2007 03:57 PM by Gregory Corbett-Resource Bank (Resource Mortgage)

Regular blow up balloons. The kids were preteen and ticked about the whole thing. It eventually got fun for them. One couldn't cross a wooden bridge because he was too big and his balloons were popping.

I have to drive over 30 minutes to get to the nearest put-put course.  We used to have one in Hemet when I was a kid.  This one you featured looks awesome! Tell the owner to open one on the left coast for me.

I still managed to lose 3 balls at that mini golf course. I really am that bad! I know I know about the blogging i'm getting on it today. But what you didn't see is i'm getting Jeff set up in North Fort Myers Active Rain. He's going to start blogging quite a bit on his own or so he says.
