Hello Everyone....
I had quite a month this September. I can go for months and months without listing or selling a mobile home. Then a month comes along like this and I have had 5 transactions that dealt with mobile homes in the $20,000 to $80,000 range.

The smaller homes always intrigue me in that, it is the same amount of work, the check is just enough to make my house payment generally, but I get more satisfaction for some strange reason when I help a mobile home seller or buyer.
I can't explain it. Maybe because deep down inside I admire folks who live a simpler life than I do. I do not own a huge mansion or drive an expensive car. My home is valued at about $125,000 and my car is a 2000 Ford Expedition and paid for. The car, not the house. So even though I don't live a life of luxury by any means, I still admire people that have a much simpler life than I do. There is little upkeep on a mobile home, less to clean, much cheaper to own, taxes are nothing in comparison.
The owners seem to live life more than I do, as they almost always have motorcyles, snowmobiles, 4-wheelers, campers and other toys of which I have none. They would rather put their money in their extra-curricular activities than buy an expensive home and wait for the investment. I admire that.

Hi Duane!
I love this post! And - I'm glad to hear that your month has been similar to mine as far as activity. I have a mobile home that I can't seem to find the right buyer for so if you have someone - send them over to Meadowlark Park (behind Walmart).
I think there is definitely something to be said for living the simple life and minimizing your financial obligations. Admirable!
