Debbie - Are you forgetting Goldie Hawn, Lewis Black, Jonathon Banks and Annie Liebovitz. Of course, that also excludes Mr. Petrlik who played Santa all those years when there was a parade. Then you have the mayor that is immortalized in bronze. It is a wonderful town and I was fortunate to grow up there. I still feel nostalgic when I visit Acorn Park and look at the metropolis that has grown up around my sleepy southern home town.

Hi John,

I didn't forget a blog about them! Here they are: Goldie Hawn, Lewis Black, (who's childhood house is on the market right now)

I'll have to do Annie Liebovitz and Johnathan Banks now, Thanks for the tips!!

Also coming soon are: Jack Abramoff, Pick Temple and Ben Stien's childhood friend and next door neighbor - Carl Bernstein.

I've also done Nora RobertsDominique DawesHarold SolomanLefty Driesell,  and Rachel Carson & Margaret Chase Smith

I also grew up in Silver Spring, and went to Springbrook High, what a small world.  It is rare to find natives that are still living in the area!  Thanks for commenting.

I love Ben Stein - and I wish I could win his money (that was a great show).  Very interesting to see where that brain developed...

That is quite the list of celebrities from this part of Maryland. I'll have to look at doing a similar list for Delaware. Hmm ... there's Vincent Minelli (Liza's Dad) and Rutherford B. Hayes and his wife Lucy (great story) ...

Great, now you've given me a reason to head to the Library ... and I love having to do that! :-)
