7th Annual Cannington Dog Sled Races And Winter Festival
With spring just around the corner this weekend is an ideal time for a short day trip to take in the Cannington Winter Festival and Dog Sled Races.
This fun filled weekend kicks off Saturday morning, February 26th, at 7am with a pancake breakfast at the Legion Hall and opening ceremonies at 9:45 am.
There is plenty to do with an authentic metis village set up, horse and wagon rides, pony rides, and outdoor children's games. Try snowshoeing, kick sledding, and the tubing hill. The indoor family warm up area includes an exotic petting zoo and Crayola children's activity area.
The weather looks promising for a fun filled weekend for all ages.

Margaret - Barrie and I went yesterday with three of our grandchildren along for the ride ...... unfortunately the sled races were cancelled for the day (insuficient snow) but the kids had a great time enjoying the kick sledding, wagon rides the Metis Village, the ice carvings, zoo to you and several other events
