A Tourist Information Center has just opened in Downtown Palm Springs in the historic La Plaza Center. Located at 185 S. Indian Canyon Drive, The Palm Springs Tour and Tourist Information Center is operated by Elite Land Tours and Mark Farley. In addition to booking an Elite Land Tour excursion, patrons can also find out about local restaurants, hotels, businesses and events. Mark Farley's knowledge of The Coachella Valley coupled with a downtown location makes planning a Palm Springs vacation much easier.
The La Plaza Center is an iconic Palm Springs landmark constructed in 1936 originally called The Palm Springs Plaza. It houses The Plaza Theater and Palm Springs Follies Revue in addition to other landmark Palm Springs businesses such as See's Candy and Peabody's Coffee Bar. Because of its rich history it only stands to reason it should also house a tourism information center.
Elite Land Tours was founded by Mark Farley in 2003 after traveling to Kenya to participate in a Safari. He got the idea to offer similar "safaris" or tours of the Palm Springs desert region. Utilizing a vehicle that was both comfortable and capable was one of the primary goals. Employing knowledgeable and experienced guides was another important goal. Years later, Elite continues to provide unique and memorable experiences while maintaining the original goals of the company.
