Have a good one
Dale in New Hampshire
Never thought of a rhino as a cold weather animal, but glad you were both there for the pic!
Great picture. yes, that is up close & personal.
Debra, as an animal lover, I do have to agree with you...he is a beautiful rhino! :)

Debra, love seeing all the animals at the zoo,,,the camel was great but the rhino tops it...look forward to more photos.
Hey Debra,
It's always worth it haha :) It's amazing what you'll do to get that perfect shot or to see that magnificent scene :)
Deb, as was said to me so many time when I was younger, that's a face only a mother could love. Nice shot, considering yiou used you phone with gloves and all.
Hi Debbie, I wonder if he was freezing too. That's a really good shot from your phone. We went to the zoo a few weeks ago too. I can't imagine how cold it must have been at the zoo in NY.
Ohhhh yeah, he is definatily a site to see! Great shot... Much-a-munch-a...
Debra - Even though my son is now 23, I still go to the Bronx Zoo and love it! Now I take my nieces and nephews.
A great picture Debra!
Hi Debra, 20 degrees is a little chilly for visitors and rhinos, too I would think. They are amazing animals aren't they?
Wow Debra...Great shot ...especially taken with a phone!

Thank you for all the comments. I am glad you enjoyed the photo! I need to re-clarify though. Everything was outside except for him. He was inside (and the birds I will post) He was in a very small area that had heat blowing on it. Still cold but not like being outside. He seemed very content though. As you can see he was munching happily on his hay. If anything he was maybe missing a mate! :D
Debbie - nice shot - glad you commented to clarify I was wondering how that big guy was able to be out in the cold so very not like his natural habitat - we're going to have to take Brendan to the Bronx Zoo this year. I haven't been there in many years now. He'll love it. Thanks for catching up on my blogs today. I love it when I get multiple successive new email dings (with no other posts that day) as I know someone is cruising through multiple past posts. Hope all is well with you and a busy spring/summer starting to come into view. :)
Craig-Thanks for stopping by! I wish I could get to your blog more often! You definitely have to take Brendan to the zoo. It was phenomenal even with parts of it closed.
Debra, I'm also catching up on blogs where I am a subscriber. I'm glad that I haven't missed any of yours - even if I am a few days behind. I probably wouldn't catch up today though if there was a champagne brunch near me. LOL
The photo is great - especially knowing it was taken using a phone.
Gary-Thank you!
Debbie, so you took that with your Droid? I'm impressed...I really haven't taken many photos with my Droid...looks pretty good! Quit whining about the cold...you're a NORTHERNER...act like it :))
Yes it was just a quick shot. I had to get him up close!
