Discovery's Last Flight is this afternoon. The launch is scheduled for 4:50 p.m. ET at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Originally scheduled for November, this will be Discovery's 39th flight. Its first flight was almost 30 years ago in 1984.
In St. Augustine, Florida we enjoy watching the shuttle launches from our beautiful beaches. Currently we have .5 mile of visibility so hopefully this morning's fog will burn off by this afternoon.
Are you planning to watch the flight and if so on TV or by going outside? This photo is from the video I took in March 2009 during the day, so today's launch should look similar.
