My "Secret" Experiment: Hold Off On The Sun Screen To Reduce Cancer?

My "Secret" Experiment: Day 17

According to a Fox Report, a daily dose of vitamin D (15 minutes exposure in the sun) decreases cancer risk by 77%!Is it not amazing to think about just how in tune our bodies are with the intricacies of our environment? It is suggested you don't put sunscreen on for 10 to 15 minutes (a bit longer the darker your skin gets), because a sunscreen as small as spf 8 reduces your skins ability to produce vitamin D by 95%! That's not to say you shouldn't overdue the exposure either.

Think about what has to happen for your body to assimilate the vitamin D. Pure energy that a mediocre size star creates and sustains, for billions of years, reaches us. The skin absorbs the energy and it kick starts a chemical reaction that produces more Vitamin D than if we drank 10 glasses of orange juice and 10 glasses of milk. Energy is absorbed and transfers in to something else entirely within our body that helps to promote cellular reproduction regulation, a healthy immune system, calcium absorption, and stronger bones!

So get out there and walk your dog, read a book at a park, go for a swim, or if you can, swim at the beach! It's not only beneficial to your overall health but it will help you enjoy life just a little bit more. Anything that makes you happy! Even if you don't feel like it or are not an exercise person, I promise if you just go out and do it you will feel SO much better. (This speaking from my experience as a personal trainer).

"Experiment" Perseverance

It has not been an easy experiment so far by any means. While the benefits of a more fulfilling life can not be compared to anything less than just that, the true effort that it takes to fully and completely be aware is pretty intense. The solution comes in the form of using the times that you are focused and aware to accept your shortcomings and move on. A lot of my problems seemed to start rather insignificantly, then build almost exponentially as one negative thought compiled upon another until they manifested as negative emotions and (what I perceived) circumstances in my life.

Let go of any past resentments or disappointments you may be holding about you. -The Secret

Any chance we get to be aware of our state and intentionally change our frame of mind should be counted as a blessing! Instead of emphasizing our failures to ourselves get over it and move on with life - what good does it do to remind ourselves of past failures but to bring us down? This perseverance has been an up and down road, but one I'm convinced must be traveled to get to the place of unwavering faith in the power of simply being aware of my state of mind and emotional well being.

Status Of Goals

Still nothing official on the listing contracts, I'm having difficulty locating a valid exlusive agency listing contract. There are some out there but I'd like to find a local specific one, hopefully by the end of the day one of my contacts here will be able to assist me further. Feeling good, feeling great!

Well thank goodness there is a reason for me to be out in the Arizona sun for a little bit.  I can't escape the stuff!

BTW, Awesome that we have a Guam Realtor on here, my brother lived there 10 years ago and always talks about going back.

Lexa: Thanks for the Guam Realtor plug, I'm happy to be the first! Hopefully I'll be able to choose Guam as my marketing area in the near future. I'm glad your brother enjoyed the island, you should tell him to visit; he'd be amazed at the development from 10 years ago.
