ActiveRain & Kodak - My 2011 Paperless Challenge

One thing that you can expect in real estate is to generate lots and lots of papers.

Thankfully, there are new ways to reduce the amount of papers generated in our day to day activites.

One thing I use is the CTM e-contracts to generate listing agreement, addendums and contracts for all of my clients.  There are times when my clients can't figure out how to sign on-line but I do my best to educate them to this process.

faxSecondly, I very rarely fax anything to anyone any longer.  I always try to scan any documents that need to be sent to clients and send it to them as a .pdf attachment in an email.  In fact, many people I talk to don't even have fax machines any longer.

Thirdly, I rely heavily on my Blackberry to enter my appointments and to get notes in.  This way, I have access to everything I need all day long.  Of course, losing my Blackberry sends my world into a tailspin.  This is why I back up my Blackberry regularly on my laptop.blackberry

Of course, I usually try to use credit cards instead of cash.  Does that help cut down on paper usage in the world???

credit cards

I am a great fan of recycling and would love to see less and less trees cut down in the future to produce paper products.  Anything we can do to preserve our world is great.

Great ideas Will to start the process of going green, and having less and less focus on paper!

Hi Will...I agree with you.  We all need to do more to save our trees and to re-cycle.  Nice post!

Hi Judith,  I hope to stay on track with this.  We only have one planet, and we need to take better care of it.

Will, Never thought of using credit cards instead of money as part of going green, but I guess that should count, too.

Pretty funny to use credit cards instead of cash.  I guess it is your way of stimulating the economy at the same time.

Good post.

Will:  I agree with your wife. There are many places to visit in the Brandywine Valley area. http://www.thebrandywine.com/attractions/index.html  I would make a great vacation for you!
