Ritter Park
, Huntington, WV

My family and I spent a recent Saturday morning in Ritter Park. The main point of our visit was to see the pink bridge. I have friends who are battling cancer, and I loved the quiet reminder of a pink bridge. I imagine people driving over it on their way here and there, maybe remembering people they love. I love that it provides an awareness in an unusual, public way.

We also had a great time exploring Ritter Park. I hadn't been there since I was a child, and it was brand new to me. It's a lovely park and it was getting plenty of use. A big football game was in full swing in the middle. The trail that circles the park was full of walkers and joggers. Kids were chasing squirrels ... OK, MY kids was chasing squirrels.

The entrance fountain is just beautiful. Surrounded by the most beautiful homes, this is truly a stately park. We enjoyed our visit and plan to return, this time with some nuts for the squirrels.

I haven't taken the RES plunge, yet.  Maybe some day down the road!  I'm just trying to keep the plates I have spinning in motion!

Sally - I know you can do these!!!  :o)

Chris - *GASP!*  You don't have RES?!  This one makes your life EASIER.  It's not adding a plate, it's taking a few away.  Trust me!!

Ann - I'm talking to Geary about a RES ... or I was.  Haven't heard back from him.  Has he been lurking around with a camera??

Bob - LOL!!  But I am NOT going back to the little plaid skirts and knee socks.  No way.
