Stefan Swanepoel has a fabulous new book on its way, hitting shelves March 1, 2011. The book is called, “Surviving Your Serengeti: 7 Skills to Master Business and Life”. I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peek of the first few chapters, thanks to Activerain.
There is an interesting quiz to take which is, not only fun, but pretty insightful. My personal quiz results somewhat surprised me because I never imagined I would be the kind to be so snappy…the crocodile. It was pretty wild how this quiz nailed my personality + traits.
Regarding the CROCODILE, “Surviving Your Serengeti” says:
Enterprising means showing initiative, a willingness to undertake new projects, and a strong desire for success and achievement—all qualities that support the role of the entrepreneur. Like the crocodile, enterprising people possess the energy, creativity, and ambition required to see the possibilities in the future that others cannot see. After reading over some of the crocodile traits, I kind of chuckled when I saw that we usually like to work alone. Amazingly, dead on. While I enjoy group settings, give me a work + chair and solitude and I can magically be extremely productive. The quiz also mentioned how crocodiles think ‘outside of the box’ and I am, by far, a million miles away from the box. I know this can definitely be a positive trait in regards to business as long as there is a strategic plan to back it up. Crocodiles are creative and have ambition and a willingness to undertake new projects. Hey, I’m a proud crocodile!

The first two chapters were somewhat of a tease and I will definitely be picking this book up to finish the rest. Considering how insightful it has been thus far, I can only imagine how the rest of the book will be!! Oh, how I hope it’s on Kindle!
