West Hartford ReservoirIn 2005, the population in the town of West Hartford was estimated at 61,173, a small city located in the Hartford County area.  This is where West Hartford Reservoir is located. Prior to the year 1854 in which the town was incorporated, this town was a parish of Hartford. Its downtown area is termed as West Hartford Center and is an up market inner ring suburb of the Hartford town primarily. West Hartford is the downtown area of the town, centered on South / North Main Street and Farmington Avenue. Since the late seventeenth century, the community's hub has been the West Hartford Center. It has also been popularly rated as one of the greatest cities for settling families and in the next decade it is predicted to be one of the best cities. In America as of now it is termed as the 55th best small city where the West Hartford Reservoir  is located.

A nonprofit municipal corporation, the MDC or the Metropolitan District Corporation, owns the West Hartford Reservoir property which in 1929 was chartered by the Connecticut General Assembly. This was done to help provide sewer services and water services to the Hartford region. One of the coolest suburbs, the West Hartford Reservoir has become increasingly famous. It is located 2.5 miles, northeast of Farmington, Connecticut and on the western edge of West Hartford, Connecticut. West Hartford Reservoir has plenty of parking area, some of the best shops and restaurants with cutting edge and is also known as one of the best vacation worthy hot spots in the town.

Through the southern portion, there is a cycling trail paved and on the eastern part of the park there are large reservoirs, six in number. Western edge of the reservoir is marked by a high rocky ledge, running north south by 2.4 km and also a Deer Cliff. For local mountaineers there is a long tradition of routes for climbing on the Deer Cliff. It is important to first check if private access to the public is allowed or not at present at the West Hartford Reservoir.  If you want to learn mountain biking, this is one of the best places. For trail runners, hikers as well as mountain bikers this place is termed as a local Mecca. Throughout the area there is a network of trails and the blue blazed Metacomet Trail follows the area's highest ridge at West Hartford Reservoir.
