What do 2 small towns 1371 miles apart have in common? Not much on the surface. Park City, UT is one of the world's pre-eminant ski towns, located in northern Utah at around 7000' above sea level. We get over 300" of snow a year.

South Padre Island, TX is famous for Spring Break and warm water. It is south of a lot of Mexico and located about 3' above sea level.

Other than being resort communities, what connects these 2 towns? Fun junkies.

There is a group of Park-ites who, when the ski resorts close, pack up and head south to SPI to take advantage of the warm water and steady wind. South Padre has become a kite-surfing mecca and has attracted the attention of Utah.

Kite-skiing has become an obsession in Park City with dozens of brave souls harnessing the winter winds to ski and board the perfect snow. The same gear and same folks, minus the parkas, head to SPI in April and stretch their toes on the sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, harnassing the wind to ride miles of warm, blue waves.

If you are headed to South Padre to kite or fish or surf or just enjoy life without Sorels, check out our condo: 3 beds, 2 baths, pool, Jacuzzi and fully stocked. Long or short term rentals. Also listed for sale.
