Free flapjacks - that's what's happening on National Pancake Day!
What's All The Flap About??
National Pancake Day originated in 2006, and since its inception, IHOP has raised over $5.35 million dollars in donations, and given away over 10 million buttermilk pancakes.
That's a LOT of flap!! (jacks)
So, Tuesday, March 1, 2011, between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., join IHOP in Tucson for some short stacks, butter, and thick, sweet syrup.
In return, IHOP asks for your donations towards The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other designated charities. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals raises money for 170 children's hospitals throughout North America. Local donations help local hospitals, and with a dollar at a time, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals have raised over $4 billion. That's something to flap about!!
Last year, IHOP raised more than 2 million with their National Pancake Day and their 2011 goal is $2.3 million.
If you'd like more information, you can visit their IHOP website. There are five Tucson IHOPs to choose from.
