Idaho is Conservative

According to a new Gallup Poll, Idaho is the second most conservative state in the union. First place went to Ole Miss.

48.5 % of Idahoans label themselves as conservative. I like it.

A few things that I do know about my state are that we are conservative and most of us move here because of the rampant conservatism. Quite a few of us left other more liberal states in search of conservative nirvana. Compared to states like Washington, Oregon, and California, which most of us are from, Idaho is close to perfect.

Rounding out the top 10 were, in order:

Alabama, Wyoming, South Dakota, Utah, Louisiana, North Dakota, South Carolina, and Arkansas. All nice states.

Kevin....I know, for a Fact that Illinois probably isn't on the top 100 of the top 50 states.  We just make sure that we spend, spend, spend and bankrupt ourselves because we like coddling people and proving every program possible even to the detriment of ourselves.  Lincoln would move out in a second.  I keep thinking of my exit strategy as well!

Larry- A good exit strategy is what most of us who currently live in Idaho used to have. Now we do not need one, thankfully.

I've had many thoughts about moving from Illinois. I feel like my vote doesn't count for anything since the left controls everything here in Illinois. A true consertative politician (if there is such a thing) has no chance for office in Illinois. I even feel the Democrats run the Republican party here in Illinois. The states with the highest debt per capita are all the Blue states. Most blue states would also be red if they did not have the big cities such as Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle. That is where all of the blue wins come from, and sometimes I'm not even sure that is "true" to how the voters actually turn out at least 100% true. There is enough corruption there that they can "manufacture votes" as needed out of these places. I hope that I can get out of Illinois before everyone else decides to move and there isn't anyone left to buy my home. Already Illinois over the last decade ranks #2 behind New York for population decline, and now they have raised our state income taxes even higher causing many large businesses to decide to pack up and move as well as many more residents of course.

Even if a state is considered conservative, like Alaska, the courts are very liberal.  We are a very "red" state, but our judges and court system have been infiltrated with far left loons, and maybe that is why we didn't make the top 10 on this list.

You are all welcome in Idaho. We are always looking for a few new conservatives.
