Let's Play Ball! Colorado Rockies Take to the Field

The Colorado Rockies will "christen" their new Spring Training ball field, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona.  Today's game at 1:10pm, Mountain Time versus the Arizona Diamondbacks will be the first game of the pre-season and their first at the state-of-the art ballpark.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I will be parked in front of the tv this afternoon enjoying my Boys of Summer getting back in to the "swing" of things!  We've already got our tickets for six games once the season gets started back here at home.

If you're a baseball fan like I am, you might enjoy learning how professional baseballs are made:

Hi Cinnamon~ Is that a minor league team? We haven't been to a minor league game in several years. We may need to do that this summer.

Hello Kathy~ Squish the Fish! Sorry, it's friendly competition, right?! My hubby is the one that showed me the video.

Oh yes, Kerry~ It's baseball season!

Donna--Love baseball, too.  After football season is over I can't wait for the baseball season to start.  We grew up with my grandfather sitting on the front porch listening to games on the radio.  I will watch the video shortly.  Thanks.

Hi Mary~ Our team made some trades in the off-season, so I'm trying to learn all the new guys. I don't have any sports fans in my family. Didn't really learn about sports until I was an adult.

There is something so endearing about home town games.  They provide a feeling that profession big league games simply can't emulate.  Neat video.

Hi Myrl~ I totally agree. There's an opportunity to connect with the players because there's no pressure at this point in the season.
