I'm tired of reading about bad news, not that I'm a Pollyanna with rose colored glasses, but sometimes the good news is crowded out by the more attention grabbing bad news.  I don't want to read about serial killers, I want to read about organ donors who save a life instead of taking one.  I also want to read about the personal successes of real estate professionals instead of the sky is falling doom and gloom too often featured by the media.

 

It's time to toot our own horns and drown out the sound of all the negativity surrounding the housing sector.  There is still a lot of pain, and there will be for some time, but there are pockets of success in every market.  Let's shine the light on our individual successes and let them overshadow the challenges we face each day.  Problems will occur, issues will spring up, but if we celebrate our successes the good news will spread and build confidence in the market.  Buyers are sitting on the fence waiting for a signal.  Let's shout our good news from our blogs, our websites and all the social media sites.  No need to puff, exaggerate or outright lie, just the facts.  I know most days have a bright spot, and that's what I plan to talk about.

 

The good news I received today is an investor is back in the market to buy income property.  He wants a trophy property with potential for future appreciation and good income for the present.  I'm all over his request and what a wonderful way to wake up a slow Saturday.
