Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas PlainsNext weekend (March 5th and 6th, 2011), the Amarillo Civic Center is proud to host the 27th Annual Make-A-Wish Car Show in Amarillo.  Sponsored by the Panhandle Council of Car Clubs, the Make-A-Wish Car Show is meant to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Plains.  Last year's event raised over $60,000 to help the charity pay for granting the wishes of children who are experiencing life-threatening medical conditions.

The car show will feature over 300 cars of all makes, models, shapes, sizes and colors.  If you have a car you would like to feature in the Make-A-Wish Car Show in Amarillo, click here for the entry form.  The entry fee is only $45.  Sponsors of the event are looking for Street Rods, Classics, Antiques and special interest vehicles.  Only late model cars that have been highly modified from stock will be accepted in that category.  Participants are asked to remember that this is a car show for charity.  No "for sale" signs or commercial advertisements of any kind (ie, signs, flyers, business cards, etc) will be allowed around the displays unless commercial space has been paid for.  The only signage allowed will be a small sign that can be displayed listing any major modifications done to the car, who did the work and what equipment was used in the process.

Tickets to view the Make-A-Wish Car Show in Amarillo will be $5 for adults, $3 for kids and free to children under 5.  Please come to the Amarillo Civic Center next weekend to view some really cool cars and help raise money for an organization that believes in making wishes come true: the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Plains.
