Little towns growing fast! The search for the ideal place to live, buyers gravitate to smaller communities seeking the close ties and spirit they have to offer. Unfortunately when that happens, the little town explodes! When I moved to McKinney in 1997 we had a population of 34,000. Now it is 126,000 and moving upward!! With that comes the challenge of balancing the community to keep that small town feeling and big town benefits. Nice post!
Thanks, Connie. If you did not look at the links to Fate, you might want to do it. One shows the history of Fate with pictures dating back to the 1800s - pretty cool. I, too, remember when McKinney was not the happening place it is today. BTW - I love the downtown area of McKinney. As you have said before, we are lucky to be living and working in our fantastic areas. Have a great weekend.
Wow, that some serious growth. Business opportunity is huge in an area like Fate, sounds like a great place to grow some roots
Hello Brian, Fate is still a small town, but close to Rockwall and other larger cities. It is a perfect small "hometown". I love selling homes there.
