16 Comments on The Hip Roof - For Real Estate Agents by Real Estate Agents
Matt - This is the first I have heard of The Hip Roof but a quick glance shows there are some great folks involved. Maya, with all of her experience, has come up with a super idea. Looks like it will be another great resource of information.
Chris and Stephanie - It was quietly soft launched to begin building up the forums and getting things tested. There's a lot of great people involved from the design and maintenance to the meat of the forums. I know it's going to grow exponentially over the next few months and I'm honored to be a part of it.
And yes, Maya is one wicked genius.
Matt, sounds like a good thing, but I don't know about adding another monthly cost. Wish there was a way to know how it'll turn out before having to look back later.
Eric - You can take the sneak peek now at least. It ends tonight, but it will at least give you an idea of what to expect.
Matt - you always have a handle on the coolest, newest stuff.
Alfonse - Only because I can't help but search it out (although now, it seems to find me). I just love me some good geekery.
Awesome idea, Matt! I found this over on FB where I went to raz you for waving the 'trademarked' Zebra colors!! (If, by chance, the plaintiff has apologized, I'm sorry!)
I'm headed over there to check out the Hip Roof--I love it!
Debe - This is probably one of the few places I haven't switched my avatar. Too many places to remember to change! Enjoy The Hip Roof and feel free to shoot me a message on there.
Matt< Sounds like there is a lot of stuff on this site. I'll be checking it out, but there sure seem to be a lot of real estate sites all over right now. How do you differentiate yourself?
Matt - thanks for the heads up! I have signed up for THR and am looking forward to learning alot from the Guru's!! Thanks!
Sounds like another place to find great information and see all the newest technology. Thanks for the post. I'll feature it at RE/MAX Active Rain Bloggers.
I am going to check that out. Learning something new never hurt anyone and sharing one's knowledge is a good thing!
Joined, always willing to support a new venture. Hope I don't get bounced for lack of hip ness.
I will join if you let me wear my bell bottoms!
Deborah - There are always lots of real estate sites sprouting up. I could quite real estate and just read full time if someone would pay me! I like The Hip Roof for two main reasons: 1) It was started by Maya, who is a personal friend as well as someone I look to for advice in the industry and 2) I think the open forum and "for agents by agents" side is a good thing. Every website is a business and has to make money to survive. Unfortunately, this often means advertisers and agendas. Not to say that it's wrong, but sometimes it clouds the true purpose of the website. I think The Hip Roof has a more one-on-one feel when you're discussing topics. There's no reason to post in there (ie, SEO purposes) except to gain more knowledge - so it cuts the clutter a bit.
Paige - Be sure and say hello, I'll try and remember to search the member list and send you a message!
Kay - Thanks. Much appreciated. It's growing fast, so I'm looking forward to the next few weeks.
Sussie - I can think of a few things I learned in life that hurt me. Building a ramp - definitely hurt me. Haha. Be sure to say hi when you make your way over there.
Leslie - Now get some posts in there and I'll see you around! I'll make sure they know you're "hip" enough to stick around.
Doug - Although I might laugh at your choice in pants, I think you'll be safe.
