It's a Sandhills Tradition, are you going to be a part of it this year?

Don't miss the fun of the 60th Annual Stoneybrook Steeplechase at the Carolina Horse Park located at 2814 Montrose Road in Raeford, just a short drive from Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen and Fayetteville.

Bring the entire family to the Carolina Horse Park on Saturday, April 9th and get ready for a great day of entertainment and sport when the gates open at 9:30a.m.!

Aside from the obvious Steeplechase races there are many additional Race Day Activities, such as:  Famous Hat Contest, Pony Rides, 5k and 1k Cancer Care Fund Run, Stick Horse Races, a Climbing Wall, Tailgate Contest and more.

General Admission Tickets are on sale NOW for $15 or may be purchased at the gate on April 9th for $20. Kids 12 and under admitted free.

There are many different ticket options available for those who want to tailgate or bring your own group/party. But, these spaces sell out fast!!!

For more information call (910) 875-2074 or
visit the Carolina Horse Park website.

If you are in the market to purchase your very own Horse Farm here in the Sandhills, give me a call!
The Southern Pines area is home to many beautiful Horse Properties.
The Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen areas host many equestrian events throughout the year, too.
Currently there are over 60 Horse Farm Properties available, priced from $112,700 to $3,695,000.

Denise, thanks for the post as it reminded me of my Grandpa and my Mom who loved the ponies. Both are long gone and i think of mom fairly often but it's been a while since grandpa passed through my mind.

Hi Denise, what fun this would be.  You have to go and do a blog just about hats.  It would be great.  You live in an area that offers so many wonderful and fun things to do.  Have a nice evening.

Denise--the 60th Stoneybrook Steeplechase looks like a really fun event for the whole family.  The horses are beautiful.  Hope you get to go and take some pictures!

Judith - Pinehurst is a small town, but if you look hard (or read my blog) you can find lots of wonderful things to do!  The Hat Contest is a hoot!  I entered in one year...I spent hours on that hat and didn't win a thing.  But, it was all in good fun.

Pat - Yes, the horses are amazing!
