HOW MANY OF YOU ARE ACTIVE IN NETWORKING GROUPS?

I know your active to some degree or you wouldn't have clicked on the title of my blog.  But how many of you belong to networking groups where you meet once a week or once a month and share prospects?

Would you say that it has increased your referral business and bottom line?  I know that many local groups exist across the country and I just wanted to get some inside on how it has affected your business.

I believe that most groups have a fee to join and only allow one professional per industry.  Is this correct?

Please share....

Tino - Check out Buffini and Company for their coaching and mentoring program.  If you run a search on here you should find quite a bit of info.  You can google them too.  They're not a networking group at all.  Instead you'll learn the art of relationship building and networking...it's more of a long term process.  I happen to know that several folks in the lending industry have found great value in the program.   Of course it's not for everyone.

Jackie,

Thanks!  I will definetly check out Buffini and Company.  It sounds interesting.

I haven't used the search tool on the site yet, so thanks for pointing that out too.

Good stuff!

I was in one and it seemed like people where not really there to help each other.  I am not a person that likes to get up at 6:00 AM to be at a place that we can not work with each other.  If I had a good one I would go to it.

Dave,

Were you in a group sponsered by the Chamber of Commerce?  or?  Did it cost $ to be a member?
