I agree Mr. Frank. I haven't ran into this as of yet on AR, but have confronted issues posted in people's statuses on facebook. My comment removed and I am defriended.
Because I choose not to be as tolerant, or remain silent while others shout from the roof tops, some say I am being judgemental. My attempt is to present my opposition in a tasteful way. I think this represents your character and many times moral fortitude.
One of the great things about the Internet is the stimulation of conversation, and the sharing of thoughts and ideas. That includes Blogging (ActiveRain), Photo Sharing (Flickr), Video Sharing (YouTube, Vimeo), and Updates about your Life or Business (Twitter, Facebook).
But when you Delete or Block someone who disagrees with you, it is like China or Iran censoring the News.
It is destructive to Human Conversation, it stifles the Free Flow of Ideas, and it destroys relationships that you might have achieved through Blogging and Social Media.
Granted, you don't want profanity, personal attacks, violations of Federal Fair Housing Laws, spam, etc. But to Delete a comment or to Block a Poster, just because they have a different opinion on the matter, is a bad decision. You will soon have no Followers, no Fans, no Subscribers, and no Comments on your Blog.
Its definitely a great community we have here on Active Rain, and as always I appreciate your comments and ideas because we all help each other to grow professionally and personally.
