Jack Britt Junior Varsity Baseball had their first game today March 1, 2011. They were up against Hoke County High School at the Hoke County field.
The game began at 5:00 and by 6:00 Jack Britt already had quite the lead! The boys played together like they have played together for years! Well some of them have, actually... First base, Second Base (my son Alex), Short Stop, Third base, Pitcher, Catcher and Center field have played togethe
r through their years of growing up here in the Jack Britt School district.
We have a very close nit area in every way! Great schools and a wonderful recreation center, with the fields in the heart of the community. Drive by in the evening time and the fields are full of children of all ages ready to play ball! Parents get to visit while on the bleachers cheering for their child. It is my favorite place to catch up on news, people and happenings in our area. It is my most favorite place to be!! If Baseball season could last all year long.....
If you have children that love to play sports, baseball, soccer, volleyball, softball, etc.... This is the area for you! The smaller children play on the fields that they will later play on in middle school and then at some point, like with my son, move to playing for Jack Britt High School!
Today's final score was Jack Britt 11 Hoke County 0 I feel bad for the other side but someone has to win and well...
