The small community of Shenandoah is located in upper Schuylkill County in Pennsylvania, There are alot of small restraunts and bars in the County that serve great food. I have made a deal with my self that if I promise to Blog about them I will allow my self to go out more often.
Who's Place.......Located on the corner of Union St. and E. Center St. in Shenandoah is a corner bar with great food.
We first went there on the recommendation of friends. I have to admit, I am about first impressions and driving up, I was not impressed.
Going in....typical bar....kind of dark......tv's everywhere....pool table...juke box..........still not impressed.
Then came the owner/ bartender"Bill". He was friendly from the start, never let your glass sit empty, would engage in conversation making you feel like old friends. Found out his "better half Brenda!" does most of the cooking in the kitchen. I ordered wings, hot barbecue. They were the best wings I have had in a very long time. They are meaty, juicy with a little crisp to them. The fries are small and crinkly and she fries them so they are crispy on the outside and tender inside. The BBQ sauce I found out is a special order and he will not just do store bought barbecue. My mouth is watering as I write. They also have Pizza, Cheesesteaks, wraps, salads, wings, hamburgers, chicken fingers,
Over the course of the last few years we frequent the place at least once a week and have found alot of people also enjoy the food. Just about everyone who comes in is eating something. If you are there around dinner time you will see people come injust to pick up take out.
I have tried just about everything on the menu and I love it all.
So if you are in the mood for hanging out with your friends, playing some pool and having great food all at a great price this is the place.
