I guess I must explain that a parish is like a county, just in Louisiana. Caddo Parish is in the North East corner of Louisiana. The largest city within the parish is Shreveport Louisiana. Right next to Caddo Parish is Bossier Parish, and the largest city in Bossier Parish is Bossier City. Caddo and Bossier are really one large city with a river running through them. They do have seperate governments and the zip codes are different, but that is really the extent of it. Looking at real estate, the www.shreveportagents.com team is of the opinion that most of the growth is occuring in the south part of Shreveport and north part of Bossier city. So, the city or combination of the cities are expanding in opposite directions.
Both Caddo and Bossier have riverboat casinos. Along with the casions, GM, and Barksdale Air Force Base are the biggest provider of jobs.
Real estate is great, and investment opportunites are many. You can buy a home and rent it for more than the mortgage would be...we call that cash positive. The rental market is stable along with the real estate market.
