Tucson and Marana, AZ - Oxymorons and Other Picturesque Things!
No, I'm not any sort of photographer, but I was going through my camera this week and decided to share. A couple were sights I don't usually see around town.
First - WGC Accenture Match Play 2011 has completed its run, and the champion has been named. All that's left is for everyone to pack up and go home. Dove Mountain, where the golfing took place, is a part of Marana near Tortolita Mountains. If you squint at the photo, you can see the housing up near the foothills. It's a scenic, restful location with mid-priced, adult living, and luxury homes available. Please contact me if you'd like more information about buying or selling in this area!

Now, imagine yourself taking the photograph, and turning completely around, facing the other direction. (West) Ten minutes from "city", ten minutes from shopping, entertainment, restaurants and more - rural living. Relocating from farm country and feeling a little homesick? How 'bout this - COWS! Well, to be specific, looks like Black Angus to me... If you're looking for a spot of land, manufactured home, luxury community, or mid-priced Master-planned community with amenities - Marana has that too! Call me - I'd be happy to send you listings based on your criteria. SWDesert living is diverse, and satisfying.

Yesterday I stopped at the local grocery store for fresh produce, and did a double-take in the parking lot. Sure, Tucson and Marana had a freak snow-storm this past weekend, and the higher elevations were hit much harder. However, by noon, all but the mountain tops were showing green again. Today, Wednesday, we have expected highs in the 80's.
What I like about this photo is the backdrop. Is this an oxymoron or what?!

Lastly, the value of family. It's been a great 2011 so far in Real Estate and SWDesert Homes, and now it's important to take a little family time. I'm off for a three-day weekend with my mother and husband.
My cat isn't real excited about our leaving...

Make it a great weekend, whether you are working or at play. Remember to take your camera! There's a photo opportunity most everywhere you go!

I could say a lot of nice things about Tucson. Like today...it's supposed to be 80 degrees.
Have a great get away, Cara, and snap some great pics.
There is certainly a lot going on in the SW Desert. From desert to cows. Have a great mini-vacation. Kitty too.
Cara - It seems like you get the camera out a lot. I always forget mine.
A nice display and a good way to show both sides of your stance.
Have a good three days off.
Cara - Cats can be a bit like that. After four days away ours was not too pleased. Like the view of the MetLife blimp. Cool photo.
