I havent been on these networking websites a long time but i do have ideas on how to gain business from this website and from loan officers / realtors in "real life". I will explain this in my next blog. As a loan officer or realtor you cant realistically expect to earn referrals by just emailing somebody or sending them a message saying "if you have business send it my way" or "i am looking for leads send them over and ill pay you". The person referring you business has to know and more importantly TRUST you. You have to gain that trust. If you havent been in the business then say so. Your experience will be shown if a customer is actually referred to you and you dont know how to handle them if you have a hard to do loan or if the client is difficult period. 

 

When i look for a realtor to send a client to  i look for a long term business relationship. I dont want to send my clients to 5 different realtors if i know the realtor i choose will take care of my referral.  I have dealt and often deal with difficult realtors but i am starting to weed them out one by one. I made the mistake in the past of having too many  realtors that i would refer clients to. The same thing goes for loan officers that i sometimes try and send business to. So far i have made some excellent connections on this site. In addition i have learned alot from

 

I do loans in over 35 so i can refer business to realtors outside of the state and have done so i work primarily in California.
