A place to run, jump swing, play basketball, more importantly smile! (Jack Park in Tigard, Oregon)

One of the most important things to a child when it comes to a park is that it is fun! To a parent it is, “can it wear my child out” and these two things are very different indeed. But, Jack Park in Tigard managed to do both with my family.

Jack Park - Tigard, Oregon

Swings, basketball, and things to hang on that my kids love! What I love is they are smiling and don’t want to leave, but once they do, you can start to see them fall asleep on the way home! This tells me they got some exercise which is something kids need during the winter months since a lot of the time they become vegetables in front of the TV because of the weather.

Todd ~ It's great to get the children out of the house, in the fresh air, to run and play and yes to tucker them out too ~ smiles ~

Todd,

Have you moved? Isn't this the Same Natasha that snow-balled you last week?

Did the weather change that quick?

Yes, it did change that quick, had snow in the morning, sun in the afternoon, really sucked for the kids. But, driving was easier!

Todd,

43 degrees with a S, SW wind at about 13 mph.  The birds singing in the morning, the daffodils popping up and my 9 year old daughter is ready for the park today.  After our monsoon rains Sunday night, it's too SOGGY yet!

Looks like all had a blast!

Todd, this looks like a lovely park and it can wear the kids out. I love the green trees of Oregon too.

Over the years you have introduced us to many of the local Parks of Tigard and Beaverton Oregon.  I see now that you use these public parks for the physical education of your home schooled children.  Genius!

Jack Park looks like a great place to play--except yesterday when I guess you had quite a bit of rain.

Very nice localism post (hyper that is)... The parks around us mostly have long last names that are Dutch & are to pronounce correctly :)
