45 Comments on RainCamp Day 2, and what's in it for you!
RainCamp AC should be an interesting time presuming Bob & Company can pull themselves away from the casinos. or maybe the long walk on the boardwalk
All I wanna know is, 'Is it October yet????'
Phil: You can see all the scheduled dates for RainCamp this year by visiting our RainCamp page. Other than the dates and cities listed there, we are also planning to bring RainCamp to Seattle at the end of June for ActiveRain's 5th Birthday! We're looking to host one in Orlando later this year too. Stay tuned for exact dates!
The only time I was so close to going to Raincamp was when it was scheduled in Salt Lake City last year when I was going to already be there for a convention. It was canceled for some reason. How about one in Lexington, KY?
I have talked to many people, all who say it is worth going without doubt. For me, there needs to be a couple more on the west coast this summer of 2011. This way I can probably plan to attend..
Why not NC? PLEASE!!!
sounds like a good thing to attend
I'm looking forward to Rain Camp though it's way too long until you come to CA, maybe I'll hit another. Day 2 sounds great.
I have to get those days off, as we are never certain as to when you will bring RainCamp back to the northeast.
I'm soooo going to try to make it to the August one in LA. Wooot woooot!
I am REALLY hoping we have a RainCamp in Orlando again this year so I can finally get there!!!
Oh, I so wish I had the time to go. Hoping you come back to New York next year.
LOVE IT! I am so looking forward to this....do I finally get to meet BOB? Day 2 sounds like an excellent program...can't wait.
Well, Day 2 is not "completely free." Its an extra $25 for lunch on Day 2 plus the cost of hotel. When I signed up yesterday after someone called me, I was told there was a "special rate just for Raincampers" at the Tropicana (yes, I know the event is as Ceasar's) for $39. NOT TRUE. I live in DC, so now I'm scrambling to find a cheap hotel that's not another $100...not sure if I'll be there for Day 2.
❦ Pay the money folks ~ I'd have taken that 2nd day without batting an eye. I paid my full $99 for the Charlotte RainCamp and feel I got that money back in more ways than one!
We are (sorry don't mean to be presumptuous...) a lot of us are where we are today in our blogging and social marketing because of the ActiveRain community. Where else can we get the education, hands on help, and encouragement that we get here? There isn't anyplace - I'VE LOOKED!!
Hope I get another opportunity to attend another RainCamp this year. Do yourself a HUGE favor and get to one too!
AR - what if we started something where members that live in the area where the camp is taking place open their home to a memeber from another area that needs a place to stay (billet)... just a thought as I know everyone's watching their expenses these days!

I'm leaving NYC first thing Sunday morning for Atlantic City! My partner and I really looking forward to it and hope to learn a lot from our first Rain Camp.
I'm attending Atlantic City and very excited to be there! I have a ton of questions, awaiting your knowledgable answers! See you soon!
Well, I'll be seeing some familiar faces ina few days. RainCamp, here I come!
I don't mind paying $. And I've been to RC before.
What I do mind is being told one thing and it turns out to be another. I just didn't like the fact that it was advertised as TOTALLY free. We can't get away with that in our advertising can we?.
That comment was on top of finding out that what I was told about hotel deals was false. THEY called ME. I was told that there was a 'special rate of $39 at the Tropicana just for those attending'. So I'm thinking I'm getting 2 days of RC for $138+ tax, including hotel, that sounded like a good deal, so I signed up, at the last minute, based on that alone. I was told I would get the promo code for the hotel in an email. I didn't. And when I called back and asked for it, I was sent a link to Hotels.com.
That's all I'm saying.
RC in Hawaii? How about a webinar or DVD? Everyone have fun and blog the heck out of what happens!
