Just last month we announced our new RainCamp schedule for 2011.  From our blog post and also the RainCamp page you may have also noticed a few changes to the format and concept of Camp this year.  Perhaps you even noticed that we've extended RainCamp as not only a 1-day, but now a 2-day event!  Even further, you may have even seen the words "RainMaker Exclusive" next to that 2nd day.  Hmmm... what are we up to?!  Let us tell you.

It's simple.  We love our RainMakers!  As leaders in our ActiveRain community we want to offer another special benefit your way that we've never offered before.   We're dedicating a whole extra day of RainCamp training exclusively for you, our RainMakers!

Day 2 of RainCamp will be all about you!  Whether you're new to blogging or a seasoned expert, we'll show you how to get the most out of our blogging platform and how you personally can get the best SEO.  As a RainMaker you currently have access to our ActiveRain University where we offer weekly webinar classes.  At RainCamp we'll be taking this a step further and bringing this training to you live, face-to-face.  We know learning can be a challenge when taken on alone, and we're here to help.

  • Our ActiveRain blog coach Steven Graham (The #1 blog trainer in the world. Just google "blog trainer" and see what comes up!) will be leading intensive keynotes and giving you tools, tips and training on how to blog for business, get organic traffic to your blog and how you bring blogging into the real world.  At RainCamp you'll have the rare opportunity to ask your questions and voice your concerns in real time, and answers will just be a raised hand away.  During the day Steven will even choose members from the audience and review their own blogs with them live on stage!
  • Not only that, but we'll be flying in all the rest of our top ActiveRain staff!  Meet and listen to Chief Evangelist Bob Stewart, Community Builder Kerrie Greenhalgh and our very own VP of Sales Doug Ching as they work closely with you in rotating 30-minute breakout sessions and pass on all their industry wisdom and knowledge.  They'll be covering topics from building relationships in vertical markets, how to design a call-to-action in your blog posts, and also creating open discussions where you can select what you want to learn about.
  • Also, lunch that day will be held 'Town Hall Meeting' style.  You'll get to enjoy your lunch while we put our staff on stage to address all your most pressing questions about ActiveRain features, your RainMaker account, blogging or whatever's on your mind.  Now that's what we call quality time!

Oh yeah, and there's one more thing.  This 2nd day is completely free for RainMakers!  That's right, as our beloved RainMakers we're bringing all this good stuff to you at no charge when you register for Day 1 of RainCamp.  Your success is our success, and we want to give you all the tools we can to help keep you bringing in business.

So what are you waiting for?  Come join us!  Sign up for RainCamp in your area today.  We can't wait to see you there!

RainCamp AC should be an interesting time presuming Bob & Company can pull themselves away from the casinos. or maybe the long walk on the boardwalk

Phil:  You can see all the scheduled dates for RainCamp this year by visiting our RainCamp page.  Other than the dates and cities listed there, we are also planning to bring RainCamp to Seattle at the end of June for ActiveRain's 5th Birthday!  We're looking to host one in Orlando later this year too.  Stay tuned for exact dates!

The only time I was so close to going to Raincamp was when it was scheduled in Salt Lake City last year when I was going to already be there for a convention. It was canceled for some reason. How about one in Lexington, KY?

I have talked to many people, all who say it is worth going without doubt.  For me, there needs to be a couple more on the west coast this summer of 2011.  This way I can probably plan to attend..

Well, Day 2 is not "completely free." Its an extra $25 for lunch on Day 2 plus the cost of hotel. When I signed up yesterday after someone called me, I was told there was a "special rate just for Raincampers" at the Tropicana (yes, I know the event is as Ceasar's) for $39. NOT TRUE. I live in DC, so now I'm scrambling to find a cheap hotel that's not another $100...not sure if I'll be there for Day 2.

Pay the money folks ~ I'd have taken that 2nd day without batting an eye.  I paid my full $99 for the Charlotte RainCamp and feel I got that money back in more ways than one!

We are (sorry don't mean to be presumptuous...) a lot of us are where we are today in our blogging and social marketing because of the ActiveRain community.  Where else can we get the education, hands on help, and encouragement that we get here?  There isn't anyplace - I'VE LOOKED!!

Hope I get another opportunity to attend another RainCamp this year.  Do yourself a HUGE favor and get to one too!

AR - what if we started something where members that live in the area where the camp is taking place open their home to a memeber from another area that needs a place to stay (billet)... just a thought as I know everyone's watching their expenses these days!

I don't mind paying $. And I've been to RC before.

What I do mind is being told one thing and it turns out to be another. I just didn't like the fact that it was advertised as TOTALLY free. We can't get away with that in our advertising can we?.

That comment was on top of finding out that what I was told about hotel deals was false. THEY called ME. I was told that there was a 'special rate of $39 at the Tropicana just for those attending'. So I'm thinking I'm getting 2 days of RC for $138+ tax, including hotel, that sounded like a good deal, so I signed up, at the last minute, based on that alone. I was told I would get the promo code for the hotel in an email. I didn't. And when I called back and asked for it, I was sent a link to Hotels.com.

That's all I'm saying.
