Hot of the Press: Florida's Realtor Magazine Features 3 Active Rain Members

clearwater florida goes green Like most Florida Realtors, today I got my October issue of the Florida Realtor, the Business Magazine of Florida Real Estate and began to check it out. (The online version isn't up yet)

When I saw the front cover a featured article, Green REALTORS caught my eye so I anxiously flipped to page 26 and imagine my pleasure to see two of my friends, Stephanie Edwards-Musa and Sharon Simms, sharing their thoughts on being a Realtor knowledgeable on the whole Eco Friendly, Green trend.

Stephanie even had her Active Rain blog listed - Now in case you don't finding success going paperless know, Stephanie is not from Florida, she's from the Houston Area and has been a strong voice on Active Rain for embracing Eco-Friendly Living and even started her own outside blog, Turning Houston Green. It's great to see her recognized as a national expert - I know I've learned a lot from her and for me she makes going green fun. Kudos to Stephanie and Sharon.

Then as I got to page 39 there's a whole page on Bill and Barbara Jo Berberi who I have gotten to know here on Active Rain. They had a whole article on how they took their office "paperless"

Just goes to show Active Rain voices are valued on the outside too - Way to go my friends - Keep up the good work!!

Congratulations! They are really make a difference!

Katerina - Wow, Great minds think alike - I gotta admit I had been waiting since I knew that Stephanie was interviewed but Sharon and Barbara Jo were a pleasant surprise.

Marie - It's great to see friends doing well and getting great exposure - they are all great REALTORS!!

No, I am trying to read it in the midst of commenting, etc.

Well, I knew that there was an article coming out on going paperless, but had no idea on the GREEN article until I opened my issue!

I would like to congratulate Stephanie and Sharon!!!! What a great article!!! I am only half through it, but find it wonderful that these two realtors, who are so active here are represented in our Florida Realtor Magazine too!!!!

Way to go!!!!

Bridget - Some of the best minds are among us and sharing everyday - is this a great community or what!!

Cyndee - It was the only thing that made sense - I hate having tons of papers around and having to file them and keep track of everything!

Besides, fewer papers, less to attract BUGS !!!!! They can't munch on CDs!!!!

Barbara Jo - You don't know how much I could use that - no joke - I may need to meet your for lunch sometime - it's been long overdue - Do you ever get up to Pinellas County?

Cyndee - I left Pinellas less than 2 years ago and have moved 7 times since I left !!!!! All within Sarasota and Charlotte Counties!!! So you see another reason for wanting to do away with tons of paper!!! That stuff is heavy!!!

Yes, I am up there all the time! I taught in the school system (high school history and geography) for years and had a coffee shop after that on the corner of McMullen Booth and Enterprise! I have friends and former colleagues that have me take care of their housing needs up there AND my daughter and granddaughter live in Palm Harbor!!!

It's great to see AR members get recognized in the media. The network is getting more and more of its content-rich articles published in different publications. That and websites like Inman for instance has done interviews with us for market updates.

You make me feel bad Cyndee - the magazine has been siting on my desk unopened - now I will have to check it out. CONGRATS to the stars!

Cyndee~ What wonderful news. As I return from Iireland, I am thrilled to read that not only is Active Rain being celebrated, but two members ...make that three (3) members of the ECO-All-Star group. YAY-Yah to you three ...and to all of us!

Thanks for sharing. Active rain is being mentioned in many publications these days.

The message is getting out there that Active Rain members have something extra to contribute to the industry. It's a slow process, but people are beginning to get it..
