Are you tired of the cold winter weather yet?  In Colorado Springs, there is another round of snow forecast for this Friday.  Now, for those planning ski trips....snow is wonderful.  But, I don't have a ski trip planned.   Instead, I'm ready to start working in my garden.  I'm ready to see some spring flowers.

However, I realize, we should all try to find the best in today.  We should try to enjoy the cool temperatures.  We should enjoy the beauty of a fresh snow.  In a few months, we will be looking for ways to cool down.  The following picture came to mind.

This dog was cooling down at the Pawtoberfest's 5K race. The 5K was held last October at the America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs.  The race was raising funds for the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.  Over $85,000 was raised to help homeless animals.  Colorado Springs is a very pet friendly community.    Dog laying in ice water.

Ski trip good. Golf shorts and golf weather better. It was 78 degrees here today. How do we stand it anyway?

Nice picture, but move south and watch for snow on the weather channel.

Hot or Cold Weather, one thing does not change - there are too many "Homeless Dogs and Cats".

Please, Spay and Neuter your Pets.

Stop by your Local Animal Shelter once every week or so, and drop off a 20 pound bag of "Jim Dandy" or a couple of cases of canned Cat Food.

Dear Sondra -

It is hard to tolerate the seasons we don't like and wait!  Then -- really quickly -- we are into another season!

Sometimes it gets really hot in Metro Atlanta -- and I thought of that in January whenwe had four inches of solid ice on our streets!  Moderation needed -- eh?

It is really up to each of us how our day will evolve.

Have a happy day -

Florida residents enjoy their brief spurts of cold weather. You long for warm weather. I think Florida is closer to perfect and agree with the comment of watching snow on the weather channel!

A very good point Sondra about living in the moment. Too often people keep wishing to be somewhere else, want it warm when it is cool, wanting it cool when it is warm. They are missing out on today. There is A LOT good with today. Just open your eyes. That photo is precious. My kind of COOL dog. Ha Ha. Wow a great cause that race had raising all that money!!

I"d like to say thank you to each of you for taking time to read my post.

Jon, your weather does sound nice RIGHT now.   Now this summer might be different.

Rodger, watching snow on weather channel sounds good.  But, I guess I'd rather have the snow than ice or cold rain.   It doesn't rain too much here.

Judy, thank you for the comment.  Each day is a blessing, whether we realize it or not.

Person behind Social Media Marketing - you picture with the yellow flowers is like sunshine to me right now.

J.A. - My pleasure.  Thank you for taking time to comment.

Fred-  Well said!

Lynn, you are right, it is up to us.

Robert,  you are so right.  And it is just a matter of waiting for a few days for weather to change. Snow still forecast for tomorrow, but 68 degrees outside right now.

Wayne, I think I need to go visit Florida one of these days.

Gary, I thought it was hilareous when that dog jumped in the pool since those were the bottles of water they were handing out to people after they crossed the finish line.   I was very impressed how much they were able to raise.  And, it truly was a fun event.

I’m getting pretty jealous of you spending so much time in Colorado. J I spent nine days there in 1999 for our fifth anniversary. We flew into the new airport, which had just opened a few weeks earlier, and drove down to the Royal Gorge, over to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, up to the Gunnison, over to the Air Force Academy and Rocky Mountain National Park. We were there in the summer and it was beautiful.
