Are You Getting paid What You're Worth?

Are you getting paid what you're worth?

Everyone that works,  regardless if you work for someone else or own your own business,  whether you dig ditches or you are a professional athlete, you receive what you are willing to accept.  Let me say that again..."You Receive What You Are Willing To Accept".

Here are a couple questions to ask yourself if you aren't getting paid what you're worth.

1)  Do people don't know what you're worth?

If the answer is no.  Then you have a communication problem.

2)  Are you worth as much as you believe?

You must bring value to the market place to be valuable.  So how does a person bring value?  You work harder on yourself,  than your job.  Self improvement is the key whether it is skills with your  hands, leverage of new technology, or learning innovative ways of doing things.

I heard  Michael Vick just signed for $20 million to play football next season, and last year he was sitting in jail.  This is an excellent example of changing your circumstance by self improvement and communication.  I'd say he was successful on both counts.

Happy Trails,

Donnie

The number 1 complaint I have heard from sellers recently is they don't receive enough feedback, so in turn they become frustrated.  I have received a couple of clients that were previously with other agents and their responses were, "we don't mind paying a commission, but we feel we are entitled to the courtesty of a phone call periodically."  After going through a real estate transaction, most people are greatful for the service we provide.  Thanks for the post.

Agents, brokers, REALTORS with large egos shoot themselves in the foot with me me me branding and how Little Jack Horner great they are with plum dripping thumbs up and jack o lantern grins. It's all about delivery of the local property information, the community highlights that should keep the guy or gal wearing the "R" hopping, hustling. Not am I getting paid enough, what am I worth pondering by the water cooler. The market sets the norm, standard of what the traffic will stand, pay, compensate. Your profit is your business skill set, wrestling with your overhead daily. Cruising the facility looking for slack knowing your expenses are your profit in a lean and mean economy.

As far as I'm concerned it's about being exceptional and remarkable by putting in the time and effort to give each client the best experience during the home home buying process and continueing to bring value to them for years afterward.

There are very few of my peers that do that.
