Home sales numbers are out for January 2011 for El Paso, Texas and it looks like it was a good month!
There were 339 homes sold in January 2011 as compared with 253 in January 2010. The average sales price jumped way up to $195,100 and months of available inventory declined to 6.6.
El Paso continues to have a strong real estate market due to a number of factors - Ft. Bliss, higher education student population growth and migration from Mexico.
Even though the unemployment rate is relatively high in El Paso, the city is expected to add jobs throughout 2011. Healthy real estate and job markets will continue to drive individuals and families to relocate to El Paso.
