Anyone Know Steve Harney?   He's from NEW YORK and just came to visit FROZEN Calgary Alberta.

Poor GUY didn't know what hit him - walking out of the AIRPORT in minus -29 - flipping freezing weather.

LISTEN to your Client - REALLY LISTEN and understand what they need.  Ask questions - you're in control if You're asking the questions.

With some research Steve, managed to pinpoint our REAL ESTATE market.  He did touch on the UNITED STATES the Real Estate market.    I didn't know the Government was looking into the way we set up our mortgages.  Less risky was the message to me - we don't have the high risk lending and abundant foreclosure issues here in Canada.

One thing that SURPRISED me was the MORTGAGES our American Friends can get that AMAZED the crowd of 400 plus.   5% interest rate locked in for 30 years.  THAT's IT.  SERIOUSLY????  wholly doodle.

We have interest rates of 3.690% for 5 YEARS only amortized over 25 years.  Gasps...

We CANADIANS cannot imagine having a LOCKED IN interest rate for a long period of time. 

Anyways - I thorougly enjoyed Steve Harney's seminar and accent.   Our Great Company brought him here, even in the COLD Weather.

Steve did say its a great time to BUY in the States - The Real Estate market is picking up down south.
