Residential sales activity for TREND’s MLS Coverage Area dropped 3.2% in January 2011 compared to a year ago, according to statistics generated by MLS Blue. There were 2,888 sales reported in January 2011, compared to 2,984 in January 2010. The "video " goes into more detail.
Seven counties saw increases in sales activity, the highest percentages in Gloucester County, NJ (12.0%), Montgomery County, PA (10.2%), Salem County, NJ (8.3%) and Burlington County, NJ (7.1%).
Of the remaining counties, the highest percentage decreases in sales were Kent County, DE (34.6%), Delaware County, PA (14.5%), Philadelphia County, PA (9.6%) and Camden County, NJ (8.1%).
